Corfe Hills School in Broadstone, Poole, formally became part of the South West based Initio Learning Trust on 1st October 2024.

Corfe Hills School was rated as Good by Ofsted in its latest inspection in 2021 and was credited for having high expectations, while pupils were praised for behaving maturely and responsibly.

Corfe Hills will receive support and guidance from Initio’s experienced team of education professionals, will have opportunities for wider collaboration with other schools across the county and will contribute positively to the development of the secondary offer within Initio.  

Initio Learning Trust is a growing multi-academy trust in the South West that is now responsible for 18 schools, including a nursery school, primaries, first schools, middle schools  and secondary schools.

Initio already has a wealth of experience in leading secondary level education with four middle schools and two secondary schools: Allenbourn Middle School in Wimborne, Emmanuel Middle School in Verwood, Lockyer's Middle School in Corfe Mullen, St Michael's Middle School in Colehill, Queen Elizabeth’s School in Wimborne and Sir John Colfox in Bridport. 

The trust is committed to advancing education for the local community’s benefit and strives to support school leaders to improve schools’ curriculums, teaching methods and the quality of learning for their students.
